Utah Valley University said police are going “building to building” escorting students and staff off campus grounds.
Those on campus were asked to secure in place and wait for officers to escort them “safely.”

Roads to campus are currently closed, the university confirmed on X.

Officials have not yet confirmed any suspects in custody.

Utah Valley University said those still sheltering in place on campus following the shooting should call 801-863-8130, a hotline set up for escorted evacuations.

“Police will come and escort you out of the building,” the university wrote in an X statement. “Public transportation available at Orem Station by pedestrian bridge.”
