It’s wild to think all of these vessels have ended up on dry land…

Huge boat graveyard in Georgia filled with hundreds of boats

Car graveyards are fairly common, but boat graveyards are something else
This one in the state of Georgia is a remarkable sight
There are hundreds of items on the property.
This boat graveyard in Georgia is filled with every type of boat you could imagine, and it has to be seen to be believed.

We’re all familiar with car graveyards, such as this eerie lot in a UK forest.

But a property full of disused boats isn’t nearly as common.

So, how did all of these vessels end up on dry land?
Taking a deep dive into this Georgia boat graveyard
YouTube channel Born Again Boating paid a visit to the Linear Marine Liquidators, located near Lake Lanier in the US state of Georgia.

This salvage yard is home to several thousand boats and additional items. Whilst exploring the site, the YouTuber came across many different brands of boats.

There were Bayliners, Sea Rays, Rinkers, Carvers, Duskys and Bajas all on show. At points, the host climbs into the boats to get a closer look at their condition.

Maybe boats are just made of sturdy stuff, but there’s little in the way of horror stories on show.

It’s not like a car graveyard, where cars are often rotting and in a pretty bad way, like this creepy ‘Cavern of Lost Souls’ located in North Wales. Born Again Boating mentioned that he’d be interested in renovating one of them someday. “These are a really fun boat to play around in,” he told his subscribers, “You can get in super shallow water and whip them around on a dime, so they wouldn’t be a bad boat to restore.”

What other boats made appearances in this video?
Whilst exploring, the host discovered a Mckee Craft which was 13 to 15 feet long.

There was no indication of what year the boat was made, but Born Again Boating expressed an interest in acquiring a similar boat for himself. Scattered among the boats were engines, from brands such as Evinrude, Johnson and Chrysler.

With a seemingly neverending selection, this place is a boat lover’s idea of paradise.
