The Council on American-Islamic Relations has alleged that a McDonald’s establishment deliberately included bacon in a meal ordered by a Muslim family, as reported in a video below.
During their visit from New York, the family ordered 14 sandwiches at a McDonald’s in Decatur, according to AL.com.While consuming their food, they discovered the presence of bacon, which is strictly prohibited in Islam. Khaula Hadeed, the head of the Alabama chapter of CAIR, stated, “They began to notice that the taste was different. They frequently order McChicken sandwiches at McDonald’s and are well aware of what they requested.”Hadeed views this incident as a blatant act of discrimination against the family. It does not appear to be an error, particularly with 14 sandwiches involved,” Hadeed asserted, labeling the occurrence as “an intentional act of religious and ethnic bigotry.”
Hadeed is now calling for an investigation, noting that one adult from the family experienced vomiting twice afterward. “They are understandably upset about this situation,” she remarked.
“McDonald’s must conduct a thorough investigation, identify and dismiss the employees involved, and take proactive measures to address this American family’s concerns, beginning with a formal apology.”
