Are you saving more or less than the average person your age?
A new UK-wide analysis just revealed the actual amount of money people have in their savings accounts – broken down by age group.
Here are the averages:
– **Ages 18–24**: £1,280
– **Ages 25–34**: £3,300
– **Ages 35–44**: £5,780
– **Ages 45–54**: £11,200
– **Ages 55–64**: £20,600
– **Ages 65+**: £24,500
Financial experts say that while these numbers may seem low, they reflect the reality of today’s economic challenges, especially with inflation, rent, and living costs on the rise.
Many people are surprised to find they’re doing better than they thought – or shocked to realize they’ve fallen behind.
