Being by his father’s side while he exchanged vows with his future wife, Senior Airman Emily Leehan, was a proud moment for Gage Newville.
But little did the four-year-old realize that Leehan had composed a special set of vows just for him. After she gave them, Gage found it all too much to handle in front of an already emotional crowd.As soon as Leehan started her recital, Gage broke down in tears. According to the Daily Mail, Leehan said, “I want you to be a good person, try your hardest, and be safe.”
But before she could say anything more, Gage threw his arms around her and became overcome with emotion.
The audience let out a collective “awwww” as Leehan attempted to gather himself, as was to be anticipated. “Don’t cry, baby,” she urged, although it’s reasonable to assume that at that moment, Gage’s laxity about his rules could be excused.
