Kanye West has legally changed his name for the second time.
The 48-year-old, who legally changed his name to Ye in 2021, has been in the headlines a lot recently for his controversial outbursts.
In February, the rapper went on an anti-Semitic rant on social media, claiming that he ‘loves Hitler’ and that he is ‘a Nazi’. Only months later he released a song called ‘Heil Hitler’ and starter selling clothes on his website with swastikas on them.
In May, however, he tweeted “I am done with antisemitism,” adding “God forgive me for the pain I’ve caused.”
Now, it appears he has changed his name again.
West’s chief financial officer, Hussain Lalani, filed documents under his new name, ‘Ye Ye’.
This name also appears on paperwork filed under his other companies; Yeezy Apparel, Yeezy Record Label, LLC and Getting Out Our Dreams Inc.
However, the rapper tweeted earlier this month: “Ima finally stop using the @kanyewest twitter cause my name is Ye.
“Gonna start a ye account and it is what it is.”
