Bëhet e ditur se 300 tonë materiale ndihme humanitare, përfshirë ushqime, batanije dhe tenda, të mbledhura nën koordinimin e AFAD-it u ngarkuan në anijet amfibe TCG Sancaktar dhe TCG Bayraktar në Komandën Rajonale Mesdhetare të Rojës Bregdetare në Mersin. Komandanti i Grupit të Misionit të Evakuimit të Libanit, kundëradmirali Nihat Baran mbajti një fjalim para personelit të anijes përpara lundrimit dhe u uroi atyre mision të suksesshëm. Pas largimit nga porti Mersin, anijet TCG Sancaktar dhe TCG Bayraktar mbërritën në portin e Bejrutit të shoqëruara nga 2 fregata dhe 2 anije patrullimi.
