After being called a ‘communist lunatic,’ Zohran Mamdani replies to Trump in five words

Zohran Mamdani Hits Back After Trump Thr**ts
Zohran Mamdani isn’t backing down—even with threats coming straight from the Oval Office. After former President Donald Trump floated the idea of deporting him, the Democratic nominee for New York City mayor fired back with force.
A Rising Political Force
Just a week ago, Mamdani, a 33-year-old Democratic Socialist from Queens, was relatively unknown outside New York. That changed overnight after he shocked the nation by defeating party favorite Andrew Cuomo in the NYC mayoral primary.
Now, Mamdani is being hailed as the next big hope for progressive Democrats. His platform? A $30 minimum wage, free public buses, universal preschool, and taxing the ultra-wealthy to pay for it all.
Trump Lashes Out
Trump wasted no time attacking Mamdani. On Truth Social, he called him a “100% Communist Lunatic.” Later, in an interview with Fox News’ Maria Bartiromo, Trump doubled down:
“If he does get in, I’m going to be president, and he’s going to have to do the right thing—or they’re not getting any money.”
Trump’s comments seemed aimed not just at Mamdani’s policies but at the candidate himself.

Mamdani Responds
On NBC’s Meet the Press, Mamdani addressed Trump’s personal attacks.
“I’ve had to get used to the president talking about how I look, sound, or where I’m from. He wants to distract from what I’m fi*hting for: the working people he promised to support, then be**ayed.”

“We Might Have to A**est Him”
The feud escalated further during Trump’s visit to the “Alligator Alcatraz” migrant detention center in Florida. When asked about Mamdani’s opposition to ICE raids, Trump said bluntly:
“If he’s going to stand in the way, we might have to a**est him… We don’t need a communist running around in this country.”
Trump also questioned Mamdani’s citizenship, despite the fact that he legally became a U.S. citizen in 2018.
“People are saying he might not even be here legally. We’re going to check everything.”
Mamdani Fires Back
In a powerful response, Mamdani accused Trump of trying to weaponize the presidency against dissent:
“The president just thr*atened to have me a**ested, stripped of my citizenship, put in a detention camp, and deported—not because I broke any law, but because I refuse to let ICE te**orize our city.”
He warned that these a**acks weren’t just about him—they were meant to silence every New Yorker who speaks out:
“This isn’t just an a**ack on me. It’s an a**ack on our democracy and a wa.rning to those who refuse to hide in the shadows.”
Criticism of Eric Adams and MAGA Politics
Mamdani didn’t hold back when addressing Mayor Eric Adams, who is running for reelection as an independent. He accused Adams of echoing Trump’s divisive rhetoric.
“While MAGA Republicans destroy the safety net and enrich billionaires, Adams mirrors their distraction and hate. Voters will reject that in November.”
Adams, for his part, shot back by calling Mamdani “a silver spoon socialist.” Meanwhile, Rep. Andy Ogles (R-TN) added fuel to the fire with a xenophobic jab:
“Bye bye, little Muhammad! If you lied on your N-400 naturalization forms, you’re going home.”
The Fig*t Ahead
Despite the escalating rhetoric, Mamdani shows no signs of retreating. As he continues to draw national attention—and fire—his rise signals a shift in the Democratic Party’s future. And judging by his response to Trump, he’s more than ready for the fig*t.
